UC Starts with You: A Community of Involvement
With more than 20,000 students, 1,000 faculty members, and 5,500 staff members, spread across 1,200 acres of picturesque mountain-adjacent campus, sometimes UC Riverside can seem like its own self-contained city. But at UC Riverside we understand how essential it is to remain an active collaborating partner in the larger Inland Southern California community. And it's why several Student Affairs departments work so closely with some of the region's largest agencies, school districts and businesses.
UC Riverside's Career Center
Through career fairs, internship programs, work-study programs, and on-campus interviews, UC Riverside's Career Center provides the nation's most successful employers with direct-access to an elite student body representing the top 12% of all California high school graduates.
The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP)
The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) helps educationally and/or economically disadvantaged students realize their dreams of post-secondary education. EAOP increases college preparedness by working one-on-one with local high school students and their parents, and by putting on admissions workshops and campus tours.
UCR Conference & Event Services
UCR Conference & Event Services host conferences and summer programs on UC Riverside's scenic campus. Coordinators help schedule lodging, meeting facilities, food and beverage service, audio visual, parking arrangements, and more. Services can be customized to fit almost any conference size and budget.
The Alumni & Visitors Center
The Alumni & Visitors Center on Canyon Crest Drive serves as the front door to the UCR campus and as a distinctive arrival point that showcases alumni achievements while welcoming friends and visitors. The 13,865-square-foot, split-level building houses a large lobby, meeting rooms, a library of works by UCR authors, a formal boardroom and more. The facility is available for special events, meetings and receptions.
Campus Tours offers visitors, classes and potential students and their families the opportunity to take a walking tour of UC Riverside's most popular landmarks with a current UCR undergraduate as their guide. Tours may include the four undergraduate colleges, residence halls, engineering labs and Botanic Gardens.
The UCR Alumni Association
The UCR Alumni Association is a great way to keep in touch with classmates, find fellow alumni in related job fields or who live nearby, and stay up-to-date on the campus as a whole. Members of the UCR Alumni Association receive several special privileges including members-only discounts at UCR athletic events, the Career Center and campus store, plus personalized UC email addresses and access to all 10 UC libraries.
