Faculty & Staff
Working Together for Student Success
UC Riverside is a community of uniquely talented individuals working together to inspire and enable students to succeed and excel and to make a difference in our world.
The Division of Student Affairs enjoys a partnership with an interconnected family of faculty and staff and plays an active role in support of the academic program. Student Affairs supports classroom assignments, course scheduling and records management through the Registrar's Office and coordinates the ordering and sale of textbooks and pride apparel through the Campus Store.
Student Affairs partners with faculty and staff in numerous ways throughout the years to make a difference in students' lives. Early on, students learn about college opportunities through Early Academic Outreach. Later, freshmen find success with First Year Programs that connect them to an array of Living Learning Communities in our residence halls. The Career Center offers valuable Internship and Career Planning services for every year of college or graduate school. At any time, a student facing challenges or a crisis has numerous options for support with "The Well" (including a Student Affairs Case Manager). In addition, students with disabilities have resources available to them through Student Special Services.
An array of Student Affairs services that support students and campus life are also available to faculty and staff. We invite faculty and staff to consider a membership at the Student Recreation Center, take advantage of on-campus childcare provided by Child Development Centers and to regularly enjoy coffee and conversation at "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" and meals in our campus dining venues.
In the Division of Student Affairs, we understand how essential both faculty and staff are to UCR's thriving future, and we will continue to serve and encourage two of our campus' most precious assets.
